New generation of control units GfA TS-C
TS-C Control Panels
Following the entry into force of the NEW EU MACHINERY REGULATION (January 1, 2027), GfA ELEKTROMATEN has replaced the GfA TS-A ((1)) and TS-B ((2)) control panels with the new TS-C generation ((3)), based on proven functionality, practical experience, and new market regulations and requirements.
Five new models offer a wide range to suit every need, and for the first time, all TS-C control panels come equipped with standard internet connectivity (IoT1). The TS-C generation meets all safety requirements set out in the MACHINERY REGULATION (EU) 2023/1230.
The shared features of the new TS-C models are presented below, followed by a quick overview of the key differences.

TS-C – Quick Overview
The quick overview shows the differences, market launch dates, and classification of the new TS-C models compared to their predecessors: the TS 959, TS 970, TS 971, and TS 981.

Connection options

Connection kits
The power connection kits for the TS-C are based in part on existing TS-B products but incorporate certain modifications. To simplify allocation, the entire TS-C range will be assigned new part numbers. A significant difference compared to the TS-B types is that the connection kits will no longer be supplied with the control panel; instead, they must be ordered separately.

Connection cables
The DES, XES, and NES connection cables between the control panel and the power supply point correspond to the cables coming from the TS-A and TS-B. The NES connection cable will require an additional adapter in the future. The TS/clamp connection set for the TS terminal will also remain unchanged.

Door modules
The wireless WSD door module (2.4 GHz radio)—compatible with the TS 95.25 and TS 96.25 door control units—remains unchanged. The wired door modules are new in that a 4-pin connector is now used on the control unit side instead of two separate connectors. This results in new part numbers. The existing sensors for the door modules remain unchanged (OSE optical sensors, pneumatic sensors, safety edges, etc.).

Accessories
To utilize convenience functions, TS-C generation door control units can be equipped with additional switches and devices. The new DIF interface is used for this purpose in some cases.

Communication
All TS-C units are equipped with Bluetooth, thereby offering—for example—the functionality of the well-known GfA-Stick for reading door control data. TS-C units also feature internet connectivity via WLAN or, optionally, an integrated LTE/NB modem. Using new apps, it will be possible in the future to perform software updates (evodo – Sync) or configure settings (evodo – Toolkit). The apps are available in the respective stores and can be downloaded by clicking on the icons.

Example Functions
Below, you will find various functions for the new TS-C types, along with their parameterization points. In the future, some functions will be selectable only via the evodo Toolkit app (P ≥ 9.9).

Note
The functionality of existing TS models is shown as it was at the time of their market launch. New features (e.g., WLAN, weekly timer) will be gradually introduced via software updates. TS-C variants in XL or steel housings for additional devices are planned, as are versions for ATEX applications. Please note that, starting from their respective implementation dates, the previous TS-A and TS-B types will be replaced by the new TS-C types.
